SETSS 2025
The 7th International School on Engineering Trustworthy Software Systems (SETSS 2025) – May 17-23, 2025
From 2014 to 2019, we organized five annual consecutive editions of the International School on Engineering Trustworthy Software Systems (SETSS). These editions were very successful and popular within the software engineering community, particularly among young researchers interested in formal methods for trustworthy software. Unfortunately, we had to suspend the 6th edition while in the midst of organizing it due to the Covid pandemic; we resumed the school in 2024, with the postponed 6th edition taking place April 15-21, 2024, at Southwest University in Chongqing, China, and we are now back to have SETSS occur yearly.
We are pleased to announce SETSS 2025, the 7th edition of SETSS, that will take place at the Institute of Software in Beijing, China, May 17-23, 2025.
The academic program of SETSS 2025 will offer approximately five one-day courses, along with a one-and-a-half-day workshop. This year’s thematic focus is on the modeling, specification, and verification of human-cyber-physical systems, with a particular attention to robotics and AI. The courses will be led by internationally renowned experts in the field, invited by the Academic Committee of SETSS 2025. Following the five days of taught courses, the workshop will provide an opportunity for school participants to exchange research ideas. This will include presentations on proposed research questions, ongoing work, and new research results. There will be a separate Call for Papers for the workshop. In addition to the academic schedule, we will also encourage informal discussions about research, teaching, and potential collaborations. Besides the scientific aspects, participants also have the opportunity to enjoy the historical and cultural sights of Beijing, a city renowned for its attractiveness as a tourist destination. The previous editions have resulted in Springer LNCS volumes after the event. We still need to secure an agreement for the proceedings for this school, but we are confident, given our track record in this and other Springer proposals.
